What happens when two chronic illnesses duke it out in the ring? We have no idea because that's impossible! But it is possible to have Endo and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). We talk a bit about Paige's upcoming doctors visit and why it pertains to IBS, and the link between IBS and Endo that is so common.

This week Paige and Nik are back with a discussion about Paige's trip to Palm Springs, CA for a wedding. But she didn't realize really that Palm Springs is in a freaking desert. It was hot. It was bumpy. It was filled with expensive wedding rings. Hear about how Paige coped with Endo during the trip and ways she preps for trips.

It's always nice to take a step back and reflect with those who you love. In this awesome episode, we hang with Paige's mother, Elizabeth, and talk about her story around Endo, and the care and support she has been giving to Paige for years. Elizabeth was the first person to believe Paige that she has Endo, and has been a loving and supportive presence in Paige's life around health care and emotional support. Yeah, and then we talk about some nerd stuff. Big surprise right?

After a brief wedding related hiatus, Nik is back, which means that the podcast can commence. However, both Nik & Paige are sick, tired, and this will probably be the worst episode ever recorded. There's a lot of talk about things that have nothing to do with Endo, and then some things that do. I guess. Ugh. Life sucks. But you rock! Enjoy!

Oh Garsh! Episode 8 already? Paige and Nik sit down for a very special episode, and interview Paige's dad Greg. We get to hear from Greg about his experiences with endomitriosis from the perspective of a family member. Another episode of insanity! In this episode, not only do Paige & Nik revisit some of Paige's strategies for handling pain and flair ups during periods, but we also talk about the 2016 Summer Olympics. This year, a female olympic swimmer from China, Fu Yuanhui, talked openly about how her period affected her performance at the Olympics. We discuss this awesome event, along with (Pause so you can reach for your torch and pitchfork) how we think some Olympics sports are just ridiculous, and they need to stop cramming all these random sports into the Olympics.

Inflammation in-flashmmation! Today, Nik & Paige discuss inflammation and flair-ups, how acupuncture has helped her, and of course, absolute silliness. And naturally, we talk about robots, and how the giant tampon dispensing security droids that patrol the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, CA are attacking children. But seriously, we do talk about how some robots are helping with Endometriosis, and general tech madness.

Also, Paige IS NOT hitting cats!

Paige & Nik strike again! For episode 5 of The Uterus & The Duderus, Nik starts on a low note after hearing a sad podcast that wasn't meant to be sad, but quickly the lolz ensue. On the medical end, Paige shares about emotional regulation, and an awesome new app being launched, called Citizen Endo, which is a Columbia University researched program, lead by The Department of Biomedical Informatics. The app helps gather date on Endomitriosis from Endo-Sisters all over the world!

In this episode, Nik & Paige talk about Spoon levels; a measurement system for explaining your energy level in simple terms, most often used by those with chronic illness. And naturally the conversation digresses to the hotness or notness of the new Han Solo, and Paige & Nik's recovering hipsterism.

For this very special bonus episode of The Uterus & The Duderus, we celebrate Paige's graduation from college! We sat down with her friends and family to discuss how far she has come in the face of Endomitriosis. Featured on this podcast are her sister Emily, her brother Tucker, and her father Greg. Also featured are Nik's fiancee Brittany, and his sister Caitlin.

NOTE: This episode was recorded outside using a Blue Snowball mic, so the quality is a little lessened, and the background noise much more present. Let the madness begin!

This week, Nik & Paige discuss Painkillers. With the pain of Endo, Paige knows all about painkillers, and has some great advice on things to be aware of, times she hallucinated, how much to use, and painkillers that she refuses to take. Paige and Nik also talk about a healthy amount of Star Wars. Duh.
